/0 Comments/in Active Members, Announcements, Blog Public /by KristiAs many of you know, Arizona Search Track and Rescue, Inc. (AZ STaR) is a non-profit organization that provides highly trained search personnel and canines to assist with missing person incidents at no charge. In September of 2016, while working many searches, our mini-command post trailer was stolen along with our Repeater, Repeater Antenna Mast Stand, Generator, Mobile Radio as well as numerous other items. The loss of these items greatly impacts our ability to provide state of the art search and rescue services to those who have missing loved ones.
Our Volunteers spend about 2000 hours a year volunteering for our organization with about 103 actual search days. Thats right, almost one third of a year we are carrying out search and rescue missions. Every year we get busier and busier with search requests and it places quite a burden on our team to not only commit to searchs and training but fundraising events as well. The time committment that it took to purchase the equipment that was stolen was astronomical in and of itself, now we have to do it a second time.
We are asking that you take a moment to share or forward our GoFundMe link with all of your family, friends and acquaintances and if you are able to donate to our cause, our volunteers will be eternally grateful. No amount is too small.
Thank you for taking the time to read this.
The Members of AZ STaR.
